Sacraments are when God shares His holiness with us so we can go out into the world and help bring others to holiness.
Worship is how we praise and glorify God and show how much He means to us. We direct our worship to the Father, who called us to be His children by sending us His Son to save us from sin and by giving us the Holy Spirit to help us continue to remember and thank God for all He does for us.
The central part of our worship as Catholics is the Mass. At the Mass, we hear the word of God during the Liturgy of the Word and remember Jesus’ sacrifice to save us from sin in the Liturgy of the Eucharist. We offer ourselves to God along with the gifts we bring to the altar.
Through receiving the Word of the Lord and the Body of Christ during Mass, we find meaning and purpose in our lives. We grow closer as a community of faith and find strength to continue doing God’s work.
