Weekend Preview | September 11-12

24th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Block Party

Join us this weekend for our Block Party! We’ll start with an outdoor Mass at 11:00. Then there’ll be food trucks around for you to stop and get some food and a bunch of fun games and events for the whole family. Remember to bring your own chair, and be careful, word has it that Father Jim deals from the bottom of the Euchre deck.

Photo Directory

There will be a volunteer at the back of church to help you to sign up for the photo directory after all Masses today. You can also get on the schedule by going to the parish website or giving the parish office a call. Remember, each family gets a free 8×10 picture as well as a copy of the directory.

After the 8:30 and 11:00 Masses, we’ll welcome another new member into God’s family through baptism. Please keep the little one and her family in your prayers as she begins her faith journey.

Children’s Liturgy Needs Your Help!

We are in urgent need of new volunteers for Children’s Liturgy of the Word at both the 8:30 and 11:00 Masses. High school students are welcome to help along with adults in the parish. Please contact Linda Frommelt for more information.

Course Correction

Sometimes it can seem like our path in life is to only focus on how to get ahead. Only help others if there’s something in it for us. Do whatever we can to gain fame and fortune. At the end of the day, it’s a pretty empty way to live.

But Jesus gives us a better way.

Instead of helping others to get appreciated, we can help them out of love. Instead of only trying to get ahead in life, we can work together to make life better for everyone.

It starts with humility.

Join us as this Fall as we all make a “Course Correction” and learn to be humble and selfless in our love for God and each other!
