Scrip are gift certificates or debit cards for a wide assortment of local and national stores. The parish purchases these at a discounted price. Part of the discount goes to support student tuition as well as parish operating expenses.
If you buy $100 from a local store that offers a 5 percent discount, you receive a $2.75 tuition credit. The parish receives a $2.25 profit. (Discounts vary from store to store and are listed on the Scrip Order Form.)
You then simply present your gift certificate or debit card at the check-out counter to pay for your purchase.
First off, the Scrip program benefits the participating families. All Holy Family Schools, including Early Child Development and St. Joseph the Worker Religious Education, participate in the Scrip program. This allows you to accrue Scrip credit over the course of the year to help pay your tuition bill. Any family member or friend can earn Scrip credit for you buy making a note on the Scrip Order Form to apply the credit from their order to your account. The Scrip credit earned by the parish assists in covering operation expenses.
Scrip may be ordered by calling the Scrip phone line (563-557-9091, ext. 220). Your order can be picked up at the parish office, 60 S. Algona St., during office hours. Orders are filled at 9am. We will call and tell you when your order is ready.

If you shop or dine out of town, we have an additional list of merchants that we can special order. Place the order by Friday and we will have special orders by the following Wednesday.
