SpringFest is our largest event of the year. During this special weekend, we invite our community and greater Dubuque to gather in the school gym. There’s food, a silent auction, a craft fair, games and more.
This event is a great opportunity for parishioners to connect with each other and with our guests. Parishioners volunteer and work together to help organize and run the event. Visitors and parishioners bond over a good meal and fun games.
SpringFest is also our largest parish fundraiser. The proceeds from this event help support the work our parish does to help the poor and to create a strong community of faith.
We are going to try a new approach with our festival this year by not having it in the fall. Rather, the parish festival has moved to April 26, 2020. Due to the change of seasons the festival committee has renamed Octoberfest to be SpringFest.
Our hope is that a spring festival will bring new ideas, new activities and more children’s events. Our crafters are working on lots of spring and summer ideas they are excited to share with all of us. We’re also looking at different silent auction ideas including vacations or summer events. We’re working on a possible plant sale as well as many other new ideas you will hear about in the coming months.
Please support us in this new festival plan. It is our hope that this date change and the exciting new opportunities it offers will help make the parish festival more successful than it has ever been.
