The faceted windows of St. Joseph the Worker Church bathe the inside of the church with beautiful light. Their artistic beauty reveals to us something of the beauty of God and God’s dreams for us. The principle decoration and treasured possession of the church, however, is the worshiping community. The purpose of the windows is to aid our worship.
Robert Leader, the designer of the windows, explained the arrangement and symbolism of the windows as follows:
“The theme is tripartite: the windows on the right wall refer to Christ’s teaching on the mount in the Beatitudes. The windows on the left wall refer to His Sacrifice on Golgotha with in the Symbols of the Passion. The area immediately above the main vestibule of the church honors Joseph, the patron saint of the church.”
