MISSION & VISION
Read our Mission and Vision Statements to learn more about our guiding principles.
St. Joseph the Worker is a thriving Catholic community off of Highway 20 in Dubuque, Iowa. Established in 1949, the church has a proud history of faith, love and service.
SJTW has reaffirmed its goal to do as Jesus told us in Matthew 28:19-20, to “go and make disciples of all nations.”
If you haven’t been to church in a while and are looking for a closer relationship with God, we invite you to come check us out. We’ll make you feel welcome and help you fulfill your spiritual needs.
SJTW aims to be a parish that welcomes others to God’s Kingdom on Earth and makes disciples of all nations.
SJTW works to intentionally build faith together by embracing and encouraging a full, active participation in the liturgy and in praising God.
SJTW encourages everyone to always seek a deeper understanding of the faith and to engage in life-long catechesis as an important part of our baptismal call.
SJTW develops and strengthens parish life by promoting a welcoming, inclusive community of faith.
SJTW works hard to identify those in need and to provide compassionate care for all of God’s people.
SJTW places great importance on encouraging active participation in accepting, caring for and sharing the gifts God has given us.
