5 Things to Know This Week

The Week of October 11

1. Presentation on the Rosary

This Weekend (Oct. 17-18)

After the 5:00 & 8:30 Masses

Ann Sirianni gave a brief presentation on the Rosary in Martin Hall after Mass. We hope you will be able to join us in prayer as we ask the Blessed Mother to bring peace and healing to our world.

2. Parish Festival

Sunday, October 25

11:45am-1:00pm in Martin Hall

We’re having a scaled-down version of our Parish Festival with social distancing measures in place this month. There will be a take-out chicken dinner from Moracco Supper Club and an online silent auction. Reserve your meal by calling the Parish Office at 563-588-1433.

3. Silent Auction

October 25-28

Bidding open from Noon Sunday until 6:00pm Wednesday

We will have 20 items up for bids on our online silent auction. The items will be posted at 32auctions.com/SJTWFestival2020 by Thursday, Oct. 22. If you have any questions or would like to participate but don’t have a computer, call the Parish Office at 563-588-1433. Bidding ends at 6:00pm on Wednesday.

4. Faithful Citizenship

Last Day to Vote: November 3

Polls in Iowa close at 9:00pm

A voting resource issued by the four Bishops in Iowa called Faithful Citizenship for Iowa Catholics is now available. It can be found on our website:
theworker.org/faithful-citizenship

5. Remember to Reserve Your Seat!

Make sure you sign up for Mass so we know how many guests we can expect. This helps us be prepared so we can offer Mass in as safe a way as possible. When you’re signing up, consider volunteering to help with one of the ministries like being an usher or sanitizing the church after Mass. You can sign up online at theworker.org or by calling the Parish Office.
